JPA scholarships 2010 from 11 Mac 2010 to 17 Mac 2010 !

Public Service Department(PSD) or commonly known as Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam(JPA), had been years offered scholarship to SPM leaver, either to further study in local or oversea institutions.

Application criteria for JPA scholarship under oversea program 2010:

1. Malaysian citizen.

2. Be healthy (in other words, have no serious health problems).

3. Get at least 9 A-. However, the subjects are basically different from courses to courses. For most of the science related courses offered, you have to get at least 9 A- in Malay language(Bahasa Malaysia), History (Sejarah), Moral or Islamic Studies(Pendidikian Moral ataupun Islam), Physics (Fizik), Chemistry (Kimia), Biology (Biologi), Modern Mathematics (Matematik Moden), Additional Mathematics (Matematik Tambahan) and English language (Bahasa Inggeris). Since the criteria or minimum grades for certain courses are slightly different than the others, I suggest you to read Syarat-syarat Permohonan PILN 2010.

P/s : Nothing is impossible! Please apply if you had met the requirements! This scholarship does not only look for your academic result. It do take your co-curiculum and interview into consideration. Hope all of you can be next batch JPA scholars. Kindly find out more information from JPA website.

my son is in form 4, taking 9 compulsory subjects and one additional ( accounts ). i heard from people that the additional subject will not be taken into account for the JPA scholarship. please tell me what is the advantage of taking the additional subject..moga

Nice to meet you!
Basically, scholarship in different field might have different requirement.
If your son, is a science student, with an additional subject(account), would like to apply scholarship in accounting, it will definitely benefits him provided he scored well. However, if he apply for medicine, I don't think it does any influence on his application.

p/s: try to look for other scholarship. coz i heard JPA might stop sending students to oversea!
